Requirements: At least completed Dragon Slayer to start the quest.

Story/tl;dr -
The champion's guild is being audited. Apparently, between Oziach just sending wannabe adventurers out to kill dragons. Then an age's worth of a new God War ... then the elder God Threat .... then Zamorak and his demons ... then the Zamorakian Civil War and every other huge problem going on ........ eh ...... there's been a lot of "quests" and requests that the champions guild has on their backlog.
And apparently ... by their own bylaws and the guild registration requirements ... if the Champion's Guild can't clean up their backlog ... they are at risk of being shut down ...

As a member of the Champion's Guild AND the World Guardian ... do you have what it takes to help do some basic errands to save the Champion's Guild reputation?

Mechanics:
Much like Recipe for Disaster and Dimension of Disaster, the quest would actually have multiple parts. Each part is the player increasingly struggling to try to take care of chunks of the quest backlog.

In addition, since this is the Champion's Guild, the 'quests' would actually be "noob" level quests (afterall ... Dragon Slayer and joining the Champion's Guild is meant for rookie level adventurers that have proven themselves)

As a multi-part quest, it would obviously need several parts:
- a simple starting quest to introduce you to the problem
- an escalation to the quest where you do more than the simple start
- potentially 1 more escalation on top of that
- the player acting as a pseudo-guild master by handing out even more to other adventurers to help resolve the crisis
- potentially 1 more escalation
- the standard reveal of the "villain" ... who in this case is only a villain in the standard expected RS comedic sense ... but is still responsible (either directly or indirectly) to the problem

Rewards:
This quest would be intended as actually a step below Dragon Slayer in difficulty in any part. None of the subquests should really feel 'threatening' to the player in the traditional sense (unless you count something like Elemental Workshop 3 or One small Favour level of risk)
So the quest rewards would still be XP for the given subsections, but not necessarily XP lamps rewarding 50k+ XP.

Suggested Intro Quest: Part 1

The player goes up to the Champion's Guild [insert a reason such as nostalgia, you were passing by anyways, you forgot why you were coming, you think you had a letter from the guildmaster, etc]

The player is suddenly shouted at by the guildmaster in a forceful way to fetch 3-4 seemingly mundane and random items.
For example:
- several ores from the nearby rocks
- some logs from the nearby trees
- some weeds
- 3 beers
The player doesn't have to "collect" them ... you can buy them, trade for them ... whatever ... just so long as you deliver them.

Once the player fetches them and returns them to the Guildmaster, he takes out a giant stamp, slams them down on several parchments ... and then chugs the alcohol (either what you brought him or his own stash).

The player is then introduced to the real problem and a new NPC: the guild auditor
The Guildmaster and Auditor explain to the player everything.
The Guildmaster states that with everything that happened the last few years, he couldn't give out the various requests that the guild receives. Mostly because once the new guild member does Oziach's seemingly obsessive need to exterminate dragons, they rarely drop back by.

He pulls out a giant binder with lots of papers in it.

In addition, the guildmaster points out that a lot of the requests he receives aren't real "quest" material. some are mundane material requisitions. Some are illegible. Some he couldn't give out that while they might be "questy", they didn't have return addresses or the name of who to return to.

Sadly, the amount of paperwork built up. Then the auditor came by. The auditor however is very much a rules lawyer.
The guild has nearly 20 years worth of 'quest' requests to take care of. And they have a deadline.

Of course, as a well known member of the guild, the World Guardian (and pointing to bylaws), you are ... recruited ... to help.

Suggested Quest Part 2: The Backlog

If the player ... agrees? ... to do 'more', the Guildmaster hands you another pile of paperwork. Basically 4-6 relatively simple tasks.

These can be random for each player.
- kill x of a random creature
- buy something simple from the general store
- collect more materials
- other random tasks

These tasks wouldn't be too different than what the player did in the first sub part. You'd just be doing more of it.

What's more ... the job requests are painfully vague. The request could be "kill 10 creatures". Not even specified. Similarly to "cut 10 logs". It really doesn't matter what you collect, kill, or even how . By Infernus, you don't even need to bring the items to anyone.

The Guildmaster is basically rules lawyering the spirit of the request. Go get 10 of it however you can. Bring it back to the guild to verify it is 'done'. Stamp the request as 'done'. Move on.
Since there isn't a quest reward listed, nor is there a requirement for the items to go to anyone ... you can keep the items for your own use (assuming you even need/want them).

Once you're done with the subsection of completing the tasks, your rewards:
- whatever items you collected
- a small generic XP lamp

Part 3: The Backlog Strikes Back

Seems that the Guildmaster isn't making much headway as many other guild members are not stopping by to help. The Guildmaster also pulls out yet another binder of requests.

Luckily, you have an idea.

Outside are several NPCs that were thinking about joining the Guild. The Guildmaster didn't originally want to bring them in since technically they hadn't done enough to gain enough renown (quest points) to gain entrance. You note that he doesn't have the ability to be picky right now, so you *ahem* suggest that he gives them some of the backlog as their entry challenge quest.
He is a little reluctant. Until he opens a chest and realizes there are even more requests.
So he makes you an acting assistant guildmaster.

You go thru the requests. Break them up into stacks for each of the NPCs to do.
The NPCs ofc ask "what is the reward?"
You say the privilege of joining the illustrious Champion's Guild.
The NPCs scoff at that.
The Guildmaster says some antique lamps and some gold.
The NPCs grumble, look at the list, grumble some more (potentially at the way you did) and then go off to do the quests.

The Guildmaster then states they don't actually have any more antique lamps to give out. You need to solve that problem.
When you ask "how" to make lamps, he suggests talking to the crafting shop NPC in Al Kharid.

The NPC will teach you how to make Gold, Silver, and Brass Lamps (like the ones you see in quest rewards) and give you a Lamp Mould.

The player will just need to use standard gold, silver, and bronze bars.

When you finish the lamps, you arrive just in time to see the NPCs somehow managed to complete ALL of their tasks.

The NPCs will say how they used a guide (another NPC named Wiki) to get it done quickly.

You mention you don't have gold for them, but you give them each a gold, silver and brass lamp.

Each NPC rubs their lamps ... and somehow ... they each get XP.
No, you don't get the chance to figure out how lamps you just crafted were somehow able to magically grant XP.

The Guildmaster will look around the room at all the useless (and disgusting) junk the NPCs brought into his formerly clean guild.

Rewards:
- another XP lamp
- new skill training method like craftable lamps (awards XP comparable to other gold and silver jewelry and can be disassembled)

Part 4: The Backlog task that nearly solves your problems

The Player is given a task that wasn't on the backlog and one task that is on the backlog:
1) Get rid of the junk that is stinking up the guild
2) follow up on a request

The junk that all got collected just happens to be almost everything that was on 1 of the quest requests. The request, also happens to have a vague location to drop it all off.

The Guildmaster wants you to take everything there, verify if the person that made the request so many years ago is still there, and whether or not they are "deliver" the items (he quietly says that if the requester is there .... just burn the pile of junk and he can mark it off as "done" either way)

Of course, the player takes the mess to a wooded area in the middle of nowhere ... and an NPC happens to answer the knock on their door of the tree. (Turns out the NPC is some crazy old person that managed to have a PoH style home build into a tree.)

The player does still need to finish 1 small task to complete the job request. Then have tea with the NPC.

Reward:
Another XP lamp
Some tea

Part 5: A backlog of quests that seems familiar ... almost old school ....

The player is given another series of requests ... this time ... it comes off as the requirements to the old versions of quests:

- Doric's Quest - The player needs to deliver some ores to Doric
- Imp Catcher - The player needs to deliver 1 of each of the generic magic beads to Wizard Mizgog
- Cook's Assistant - the player needs to deliver a normal egg, pot of flour, and bucket of milk to the Lumbridge Cook
- Druidic Ritual - the player needs to help the Taverly Druids dip some meat into the cauldron of thunder in the Taverly Dungeon

This time, the player is given hints that the druids, doric, cook, and mizgog remember these particular requests but didn't think much of it at the time, even though years have passed.
Each starts to give a vague description of a person/NPC.
The player is finally given a hint to who the real 'villain' is for causing this mess.

Reward:
Another XP lamp

Finale: Bring the villain of the backlog to justice

The player, along with help from lots of other NPCs, has finally cleaned up the backlog.
There is just 1 thing left to do: blame somebody for this nightmare.
Luckily, you have leads to the culprit.

The Guildmaster even remembers that there was an "adventurer" and an "assistant" that matched the generic description you got in the previous section.

The player goes to Lumbridge.

The villain? None other than ... Lactopher. The lazy bum did everything he could to avoid work. This in turn caused all of the requests to just sit.

The player drags Lactopher to the guild for ... trial? ... revenge? ... something ...

The Guildmaster makes Lactopher an "intern" and has him do various odd jobs about the guild.
Lactopher is upset, but he is able to use it as a way to appease his sister since he does "work".

Reward:
Something. Anything.
