tl;dr - create a "skilling" and Necromancy encounter where the player puts the body and spirit of Vorkath to rest
Vorkath is a tormented soul. Created by the Dragonkin as a weapon. Then abandoned by the Dragonkin and labelled a failure. Only to then get resurrected by a Mahjarrat and used as a weapon.
The Player Character/World Guardian recently took up Necromancy and supposedly said they would be a "nice" Necromancer. I say we put that to the test.
Requirements: Completed Battle of Forninthry, some skills as required
The adventurer manages to track down Vorkath. Instead of trying to slay the dragon (hardly a first), the adventurer opts to try to put Vorkath to rest using an ad hoc ritual to counter Zemouregal's efforts.
However, unlike the proper ritual sites, you will not have the luxury of a pedestal for a focus, nor immediate access to your vessel. So you will need to try to minimize distractions or anything that would interfere with the ritual.
The adventurer will need to perform:
- a standard ritual several times. Like the rituals you see in Um, you will see several distractions. These will need to be cleared out to contiune.
- protecting Vorkath. Zemouregal's Necromatic energies linger wherever Vorkath flew off to. Undead will rise to annoy Vorkath and to taunt you. Luckily, the player can summon allied undead to keep the aggressive undead off Vorkath. (The friendly ones will recognize what you're trying to do and be supportive of that.)
- siphoning/neutralizing stray nexuses of energy. Runecrafting, Divination, and/or Prayer could be used as ways to neutralize pockets of energy that appear that slow down, counter act, etc the ritual you are trying to perform
