I know the golden cape event has passed but I am Suggesting players who had over 5 shards be awarded the cape . With the issue making it impossible for players to earn these capes while skilling people like myself were unable to obtain one.

No.

1) It was possible to get eight shards without combat.
2) The event was extended by one week due to certain issues that occured.
3) This suggestion is unfair to anyone who put the time and effort in to get eight shards - myself included.
