I understand that this is already niche, but might not be later in the future. I would like the ability for Runescape to be played in Virtual Reality (VR). I've done this myself via a virtual desktop and it's got to be one of the most relaxing gaming experiences I've ever had.
Now whilst I understand that VR is not for everyone, I strongly believe that this should be endorsed or if not, at least mentioned as a platform that you cannot use and it be updated in the list of disallowed clients or updated under macroing rules.
DO NOT PLAY RUNESCAPE IN VR AS OF THE POSTING OF THIS THREAD! It breaches macroing rules! I found this out the hard way when my near maxed character was banned during double xp for 2 days (losing 20 hours of it
).
I'm guessing that Botwatch (Jagex's anticheat system) doesn't like the fact that there are 2 controllers in VR setups (like my Oculus Quest 2 for example), but there's no way around this which doesn't breach macroing on double keybinds, as you need the left controller for your keyboard and the right controller for right click.
As a result I would like VR to be considered as a legitimate way to play Runescape ideally, or at the very least update the macroing rules to eliminate this grey area.
