It would be nice if when you use a preset it changes the book with it. I mean if you can change your book with a Magic cape or Book Switcher at the bank. How much is it asking to have the book change automatically, so you don't have to look to see what spell book you're on every time you want to do a different activity than the spell book you're on. So I suggest with the preset your Magic Book can be set to change depending on the preset. The skill should be smoother than it is. Especially since it's Magic.

This can be an upgraded version of the Book Switcher invention.
Maybe the Automatic Book Switcher is automatically used only when your Magic Book is changed. And so if you don't have any it will say that you didn't have any more. But if you have them your Automatic Book Switcher will be consumed upon withdraw.
It would also give a reminder your Book didn't change to the appropriate Book for the preset. So it would say whether your book is set on Regular Spell Book, Lunar, or Ancients. For that alone this feature would be worth having. If you have an Automatic Book Switcher in the preset it would always remind you you're not on the appropriate Spell Book for the preset. So the presets would have set on which Spell Book you're on. Being reminded of it's convenience which Spell Book you're on and how convenient of a thing it is to have would both be reasons why this would be something worth having.

Or is that a difficult thing to ask?

To make this more feasible perhaps there can be an option on the presets which book is intended for the preset, and if it's not on the right Magic Book it will tell you which book you are on. So it'll be like the presets telling you, that you withdrew your preset, and if it is on the wrong Book it will let you know you were on the wrong book, if you weren't it would say nothing. So even if you don't have these you'll get the reminder you're on the wrong book, and if you have an Automatic Book Switcher it'll consume it and change it to the correct book, while if you don't have any, at least you know you're on the wrong book.

So this will essentially be another option for the presets that you have Magic Book on as part of the preset, like you have every other, inventory, equipment, summoning Familiar, and Magic book, maybe Prayer also. But the Book Switchers should be distinguished so you don't accidentally change something you didn't intend, so there would be a Magic Book, and a Prayer icon that you have to turn on or off for every preset. So there would be an Automatic Magic Spell Book changer and an Automatic Prayer Book Changer, and icons for both. And maybe if later on they make different Melee types, and different Ranged types, they have it for them too. This is just to emphasize how important a feature it is to have, if it were all 3 forms of combat that had different types, they'd have done something about it sooner.
So Magic is the most clunky out of the 3 combat types, and that is ironic, so I think it should be more fluid than it is of a skill. And the presets notifying when you're on the wrong book, and an Automatic Book Changer could go a long way to making it more fluid.
