It's called Ward of Erebus. Instead of proving armour value as damage reduction or part of your defence level as damage reduction, you'll gain a "dodge" buff while ward of erebus is active.
For every piece of ranged power armour worn, the player casting the spell:
Gains 10% of your auto-attacks and ability damage as flat dodge chance
Gains 33% of its damage bonus as flat dodge chance
The spell lasts for 12 minutes and dodge chance cannot be over 75% of this effect (maximum of 50% dodge chance in PvP). Casting the spell does not interrupt channelled abilities and ignores global cooldown.
As the spell can only be used with ranged power armour, this allows for the player to get higher and higher dodge chances with ward of erebus the higher tier of ranged weapon and ranged power armour they're wearing.
Players can have both ward of erebus and animate dead active, they don't override each other.
It allows the player under the ward of erebus to use the shadow anima of erebus to have a higher and higher dodge chance of all types of damage including style type damage as well as typeless (both soft and hard).
When the player dodges an attack, you don't get a message unless it's a fatal hit that was dodged, the message is filtered. Dodging an attack has a agility icon on your character when it dodges an attack.
It's time ranged gets its own version of animate dead. Thoughts?
