Hello!

I wasn't sure if I was going to write this or not, but I figured ya'll deserve to know that you actually are reaching out to people through the new event north of the lumbridge crater.

I suffer from depression, PTSD, anxiety, and a few other mental health problems I'm too embarrassed to mention. - I recently have been in a slump and haven't showered often enough or brushed my teeth as often as I should (sorry, gross human life)... But when the event came out I was really touched by it. One of the answers was 'when in isolation you shouldn't ignore physical health issues' and I felt surprisingly comforted.

I went and took a really long bath and cleaned everywhere properly (even scrubbed my toes!) and brushed my teeth for way longer than 2 minutes. Than I spent a solid 30 minutes flossing and using a toothpick to get rid of plaque.

I feel better, I look and smell better, and I'm just generally more content with life.

Thank you for this event, if it hadn't been for it I might have just ignored my physical health needs a bit longer. I'm going to take another bath after completing my daily RuneScape tasks now, too.

Thank you CPSL Mind. Thank you Prince's Trust. - And thank you You Are RAD

Nice one at speaking about it in here.

PTSD and anxiety aren't easy to live with... You seem to be coping well right now. Keep a good spirit... :)

Very nicely said. I have a similar story.

When their representatives joined Discord for a Mental Health Q&A I hesitiated with involving myself in it, but after seeing others talk about what they struggle with, I felt a lot more welcome.
Being 22 it's only gone south the past 3 years. My family has begged me too much to seek help. I'm trying my best to write this post without too much embarassment but I keep deleting parts.
In the end of the Q&A I had told them if the good spirit kept going in the channel I would resubscribe to my gym after 3 years of inactivity. The Q&A really captured my attention and I'm glad it did.
It's very hard to put words on it, I'm just happy that I had the Mental Health role in the Discord, as otherwise I'd have missed out on the Q&A.The chat really encouraged me to appreciate life and while I still haven't exited my home, I don't want to hold empty promises to the representatives I talked to in there. I'll be buying the necessities for gym this week and aim to start later the week. I'm very uncomfortable talking about myself but there's that.
The game can get addictive that's true,
but it offers help when we need it the most
For that i thank you Jagex ;)

Thank you for your story! It means a lot knowing i'm not the only one.
Exercising is a great way to help your mind - I used to exercise regularly but I have actually gone one whole entire year without exercising and went from 120 lbs to 230. I am planning on cleaning out my study and breaking out the exercise bike just for my health both mentally and physically; i've had a few health problems rise up from the obesity and it's just not healthy.
You can do it, man! I'm proud of you and you can do it, and don't feel embarrassed about it we've all got something that makes us feel bad; but we can all over come it.

Nice, yeah exercise bikes are great. If you get comfortable with that one, I'd also recommend taking a bike out for a ride every day. If you're awake during midnight then that's a good time to be out with less people around. It helps for my friend who also has anxiety. He takes an hour ride usually around 2am. A walk is also great. It too clears out your mind.

I appreciate you for the thread and your reply. Fingers crossed we'll start with our exercises...! ^_^

I've ordered me some comfy clothes and new pair of shoes. Next week it shoud be there.

...now I'm a step closer to recovering myself O_o

I'll be sure to post the day I get back from the gym. It's been nearly 3 years since I quit it all. I look forward to starting over and getting myself more positive energy :)

Great to hear!
I got a mewgaroo which is a sweater with a pouch you put your cats in, I've been playing the ole runescape with a cat in my lap for a few days now Lol.

Feel free to add me in-game! :)

I'm gonna do some walking today, hopefully I won't get too burnt out!
Good luck on your quest!

Aww that's adorable, I'd love to have a pet sit around and play RS with me too !

I don't know about you, but temps are getting freezing cold here, so it feels great to keep yourself warm during a long walk. I look forwards to hear more and if you decide to pull out the bike, go rock it!! I've added you :)

I managed to walk for an hour! I went with a friend that walks SUPER fast; at first it was hard to keep up but than I just kept going for it. I also got some really cool scented candles that made me super happy. Really boosts my mood! I got vanilla bean, hot cocoa, maple syrup pancake, and caramel cinnamon butter scented candles. I'm quite happy about it and burnt all of them at once and my house smells amazing Lol!

Tomorrow i'm going to clear a bit of my study out so I can get on the exercise bike - it might take a few days to clear all the stuff out since I have to sort through it.

Lookin' forward to hear from you! Just added you, too. :) :)

Very nice. I'm glad that you went out. It takes a lot of energy for me to pull myself out! I'd like me one of those candles too, and those are some funny scents lol - especially the pancake one, never heard of that. :D

Yeah get that bike out! After a week or so you should start seeing higher energy levels, and more motivation in exercising more often as you go.
Enjoy your weekend :)
