Played since 04, quit for a decade inbetween but returned last April to catch up on quests.

Obviously I do have some grievances with aspects of the game but I will say RS has some of the best writing out of any game I have played. I consider the Myreque quest series to the best vampire story I have ever encountered. Not just in a game, I say that including books, shows, movies, anime, comics, etc. The Pirates series is also up there for me.

I do hope to get series' like those in the future. The Mahjarrat / God quests are mostly well-written too, but stories that aren't (directly) connected to the central conflict / endgame are enjoyable to have around as well.

I agree entirely with you. Speaking of the Vampyre quest series, one of my favorite quest is Darkness of Hallowvale mostly because of the vibes it gives. Although boring in having to go from A to B every time, it's very immersive and important to the story.

I'd call it frustrating more so than boring, but yes that added to the immersion which is why I didn't mind it, even though I was young when doing the quest lol.
