I've been playing RS for 16 years now and one thing I always loved was the lore and numerous quests. I'm inviting everyone to write about your favorite quests here. I'm a bit behind with recent quests though (Desperate Measures and onwards) but here are some of mine:
- The Chosen Commander - the (original) finale to Cave Goblin quest series and also the first story finale I ever completed is pretty much everything I wish for quest to be. It's emotional, dynamic, it really feels like a payoff and I think Zanik is one of the best RS characters
- While Guthix Sleeps - this quest was one of a kind when it got released due to its immense size and story depth and I think it really brought quests to new level
- Plague's End - as much as I enjoy the quest itself, it's the reward that makes it really stand out for me. Priffdinas really exceeded all my expectations and I consider it to be the best update of RS and with this finale to one of the longest quest series, it felt truly earned.
- The Lord of Vampyrium - I absolutely loved the portrayal of Drakan in this quest. Everything from his imposing design and characterization to his mind game and the twist he was never the main antagonist of this quest series was perfect to me.
- Children of Mah - Even though it's penultimate quest to the first batch of 6th age quest series, this honestly feels like one of the "biggest" quests out there to me when it comes to the story and featured characters. From Zaros & Seren dark sides being revealed to their conflict reaching new heights... to the mysteries behind Mahjarrat rituals finally being revealed... Zamorak's confontation with Zaros... to eventual death of Mah. It truly feels "complete" to me.
SPECIAL MENTION
The Needle Skips - this quest is... hauntingly beautiful and in my opinion very deep. Truly one of the biggest quest surprises to me and I was immersed in it from beginning to the end. Special mention to "Megan's Tale" soundtrack... one of my favorite ones.
