I'm not sure if this praise should go to the engine team, or if a different team handles how the graphics work on the client.

But back in December I finally got far enough into questing where I was doing later game quest like Ritual of the Mahjarrat and The World Wakes when I came across some massive graphics bugs that ruined what was supposed to be an intense moment in the lore of RS3. Without spoiling there had been an issue where an enemy teleports in to attack another character which led to a number of other characters showing up. The problem was, with graphics engine upgrades over the years a "camera-zoom" "feature" was added in automatically on cutscenes which made it where, when the camera was supposed to show the dramatic face of the character as they showed up, the camera would instead zoom through their face so you'd either just be looking at a blank space or a wall. This was all done in a cutscene that was originally made in 2013 and from what I could tell broke in late 2017 and hadn't been worked on for a couple years based on multiple forum/reddit posts I had seen. When I got to this point in questing where many of these pivotal quests just seemed to be left to die in the wayside I submitted a forum post and a couple bug reports and just called quits until I saw some post where these graphics had been fixed. With the Achaeology update I came back and have been enjoying that, but didn't bother with questing as it seemed like the direction RS3 was going in was, "Let's make new stuff to bring in players, not worry about our broken old stuff." But upon returning to the Shrine of Guthix and replaying the cutscene along with the Battle of Lumbridge they've all been fixed now.

I couldn't find any mention of this in any of the patch notes for the past 4 months, so to whichever RS3 employee took the time to look at those bug reports and bring those cutscenes back to their former glory, thank you very much.
