I realize there are many other threads already, but in this case I feel this warrants another instead of just a comment to be lost.

Well done on Archaeology! So far I'm really enjoying the skill. Lots of good content.

Bump this.
Most interesting and variable gathering skill in the game. Stands alone nicely while giving rewards that integrate into other skills.
Great usage of new areas, sets moods really well.
Love the puzzles! It's nice to integrate puzzles with grinding.
It has me interested in lore I previously didn't really care about.

Obviously there are little things like chronotes not going in currency, sifting not being worthwhile, rewards killing older content ect, but on the whole things are really good in this skill.

Biggest setback-mid-level xp rates are a little low. Levels 40-88 could use slightly more favorable xp rates, to make the flow of new lore and engaging new areas and content flow seamlessly from low into high levels.

Currently hold Lv58 Archaeology and want to share my experience with the skill so far:

Pros:
1. Enormous amount of lore to unanswered questions that have been toying on my mind for years. (For example, what happened to the Icyene)
2. It's a varied gathering skill.
3. The Mysteries are a great addition that makes the skill more enticing.
4. Some of the dig-sites I have seen look amazing and formidable!
5. The qualifications, collections and research options are all factors that make the skill so rich in content.

Cons:
1. The XP rate at my current level and a little below seems a little on the light side.

Other than that, really good job Jagex, well done :) .

I love that theres mysteries and repeatable collections in this new skill and that we can have our own player owned archaeology team. I love the player owned aspects to this game, its a never ending content input and it helps with getting certain items that may have a drastic price increase due to an update
