Today, after having spent an eternity as a watcher at Wintertodt's prison, I was finally able to get my dream pet of years past: an adult phoenix!

Years ago, back when I still played RS3, I got the phoenix eggling pet pretty early on and it became the symbol of my RS3 account, but I was never able to get the adult version since it was never possible to. Then when I joined OSRS and saw it was possible to get it there, I kept hopelessly trying to finally complete my dream: first as a non-ironman, then as a normal ironman, but it took till the ultimate ironman to finally get it.

In total, across all the accounts, it took me almost exactly 4000 Wintertodt kills, with an average of 3 rolls per kill. For those who don't know about the drop rates, that translates to roughly 2,5x the drop rate dry.

Thanks to everyone at Wintertodt who wished me luck, and a special thanks to
CattytheFish
, a hardcore iron who was the only person to predict when (which day) I would get the pet, and who did so with just one guess.

Now at last, my watch at Wintertodt has ended, and I can look forward to new adventures! :P

Congratulations Strix!

I see you've earned your outfit too. Did you obtain Dragon Axe as well? Good job. Nice seeing other ironmen going for the challenge. ^_^
Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

Cheerio! :)

No dragon axe; if I had gotten it first, I would've stayed for the pet still, but this way around, I can still get the dragon axe from DKS if I really want to, not sure if I will though.

Congratulations mate!

Are you planning to change its colour? Or will you leave it at its default colour? (In case you didn't know, using 250 of a type of gnomish firelighters on it will change its colour to the same colour as the gnomish firelighters that was used)
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Cheers! :)

Gonna have to leave it at the default color for now, since I don't have any firelighters and no way to currently get them even if I wanted to. But at some point when I can focus solely on completing clues, I'd like to get the white version, although RNG can pretty much dictate what I get by not giving me the color I want :P
