As someone who [quite visibly] has been ranting across the forums about the proposed changes (more so, HOW they were posted and surveyed than WHAT was proposed, but..), I would like to mention my appreciation for the post today that acknowledged our feedback. Last night, I felt how I did in 07/12, but this morning I feel back to how this OSRS iteration is supposed to feel: community-led and our feedback truly appreciated (a Twitter survey is not valid, in my opinion).

So, before I start pointing out my issues with the combat triangle rebalancing plans and emphasis on variety over oldschool-ness, I will focus on the goal of this post: thanks for alleviating some of our worry: I know this is "just a game," but as someone who has played it on and off since 02, this has been my most involved, favorite era of playing--and I don't like the [Reddit-derived, endgame-claimed] rhetoric that the game and combat triangle are broken: This is a great game and deserves tweaks, not a fundamental change. Much love.

For those unaware, this is the post that OP is referring to:

I do appreciate the post as well because it tells us that they are listening. Furthermore, apart from letting know us know that they are listening, they are continuing to look over feedback within the next few days and they will have a full response for us on Tuesday, January 26th. This says a lot and I'm sure that it's welcome by the community.

Thanks to the OSRS for their attentiveness. It's greatly appreciated.

Ah, yes. I agree with the OP. The newspost and associated discussion thread were welcome steps. I've linked both for the convenience of anyone else reading.

I appreciate the acknowledgment of the players' feedback and feel that it's a good step towards addressing their concerns. It was nice to see that a few key concerns were highlighted in the post, which had been debated among the community. Kudos to the team for picking them out and addressing them.

I welcome the approach towards the forums and news posts by both games. The discussion thread in particular has drawn a lot of people to the forums to share their opinion, and that can only be a positive for the health of the forums and the health of the game.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming announcements; it's good to see that we can expect them soon.
