As someone who [quite visibly] has been ranting across the forums about the proposed changes (more so, HOW they were posted and surveyed than WHAT was proposed, but..), I would like to mention my appreciation for the post today that acknowledged our feedback. Last night, I felt how I did in 07/12, but this morning I feel back to how this OSRS iteration is supposed to feel: community-led and our feedback truly appreciated (a Twitter survey is not valid, in my opinion).
So, before I start pointing out my issues with the combat triangle rebalancing plans and emphasis on variety over oldschool-ness, I will focus on the goal of this post: thanks for alleviating some of our worry: I know this is "just a game," but as someone who has played it on and off since 02, this has been my most involved, favorite era of playing--and I don't like the [Reddit-derived, endgame-claimed] rhetoric that the game and combat triangle are broken: This is a great game and deserves tweaks, not a fundamental change. Much love.
