I'm confused about the price of oak, willow and raw tuna. I feel like something may have happened or there's a story behind it. I was wondering if anyone could explain it to me?

Based on GE prices:

Oak logs are 711 gp ea
Willow logs are 685 gp ea
Yew logs are 316 gp ea

Raw tuna are 340 gp ea
Raw swordfish are 372 gp ea

The oak and willow logs prices are totally baffling to me. It's worth more than its higher tier counterpart, and to me it seems even more accessible than yew. I could probably kind of understand oak since I'm not recalling a clutter of them near a bank and 1-2 chops will probably take down the tree, but willows are so easy to get in Draynor and I cut them much faster than yew. Why would it be cheaper? Raw tuna isn't worth more than swordfish, but the price is not far off.

maybe there is not enough quantity to maintain its price since most ppl level up quickly past oak trees?.

for raw tuna and swordfish i remember they jumped back in the day with pof because some animals require this food to stay healthy.
trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

A lot of the reason is because the lower variants of wood dont get dropped in massive quantities by slayer mobs etc.... while higher variants like magic do. Since WC'ing is terrible cash compared to many other activities, people just dont cut the logs. There is not much demand for them so again, no spike to encourage people/alts/bots to cut more logs.

With fish, well, sharks are dropped so plentifully by bosses/pvm etc... that there is no real need for a lower tier food. With the current pvm meta of not even trying to eat traditional food (which drains adrenaline upon consumption), it makes most of the raw fish pretty worthless, so it isnt a surprise to see anything not blue blubber jellies or sailfish about the same price.

Yeah, there's not enough people getting those logs. I was legit paying 2.5K for one oak log couple months ago and majority of time they don't buy immediately.

Grace of the Elves gives out lots of yew logs.

I use tuna for feeding my dragons but fp2 uses swordfish and tuna.

Willow logs are used for spirit weed incense for pvm.

I have no idea about oaks lol

o wow willows are indeed 700gp ea.

I dont get jagex. They artificially crush the price on a whole range of skilling items by making them noted drops from bosses but willows at 700 ea is fairly priced.

Mage logs 500 ea willow log 700 ea. Mage log comes from monster drop and willow log does not (i asume it doesnt). Why is this weird pricing of items.

Jagex artificially crushing price of item like silverhawk i cant really complain about but i just dont understand why they then leave an item as willows sit at 700 gp. Maybe its to make the game look like a good place for new players i dont know.

But yes its weird
