Well it's official. The tradeable rare Black Partyhat is coming in this year's Christmas event. They stress that only a small amount of players will earn a Black Partyhat, which confirms it'll be as rare as the Black Santa hat. I'm expecting it to be like the og phat appearances like how it is in OSRS.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Black Partyhat?

it's definitely nice to see a new colored party hat. I'm also happy there won't be any way of getting it besides just being lucky. lol sadly rngesus does not favor me, so i probably won't get one but good luck to everyone else!

I don't think it will end up being discontinued I only saw that it was a tradable rare so will probably be rereleased. I need my blue charms back.

It's going to be worth more than a gold phat but less than black santa forsure. It would probably be around the cost of green santas before Santa's Grotto (when they could only be obtained by skilling and were mythically rare). GSH peaked around 3.6-4B so Black Phat probably going to be anywhere from 4B-10B is my guess. It won't be 10B-21B forsure since it'll be coming back unlike what was said about BSH. Although BSH was never a permanently discontinued item anyways too lmao, should be less tbh but I suppose it earned its spot after it hasn't come back throughout years.

Aside from this, Jagex needs to make a silver phat to complete the Jmod/Pmod crown and Christmas wrapping scheme lol. And Cyan phat for CKMY color scheme

Looks great, thanks for posting the photos here.

I'm a bit bummed by the general conveyed rarity of the item. With the rarity being described in the news post, it will likely be trading in the billions. Perhaps more than the Yellow Partyhat, during the first year of release. I don't think Golden Partyhat rarity is needed for every new item, but somewhere in between...
