HSR doubling items passive

This always got me wondering, since the HSR can double drops, and by extension RDT drops, does that mean if you get stupidly lucky and land on an HSR while you have an HSR equipped and the doubling effect fires off, will it double the HSR?

Considering how stupidly rare an HSR is, that and the fact, we don't really know what the chance of the doubling effect going off even is, I think only the jmods might be able to actually answer that one.

And also wearing a slayer mask that doubles drops can also have the rare chance of doubling a hsr that was doubled by the hsr doubling effect, resulting in 4 hsr being dropped at the same time. I don't think it's ever happened though, would be amazing if it did. I bought mine just for the doubling effect, doubled blood shards is great.

Yes it can double the hsr ring.

But the ring cant double chest loot.

Chest loot is telos, clues, etc.

Since ed,s drop the loot on the ground but then put it in your ed chest it is considered a normal drop at all times.

also the stats are better than lotd which makes it perfect for pvmers who dont ever use rod.

if im correct, solak loot is also not considered chest loot.

so a double bow is possible.

Another thing is that they might make it possible in the future that hsr can double chest loot too. so for telos and clues it can double too. but ive only heard ghost stories of this so take it with some salt.

Personally i like the idea of getting a double drop. but i mainly use it for the better stats than lotd because i only use rod at solak telos and raids if im basing. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Onyx ring (i) is what I use currently. Hazel (i) is better.

If pvm, I guess a person could ring switch before a big kill, if not fearing the need for rod.

HSR seems less rare than other hero items. The question really is whether its cost can justify its usefulness. You need drops to double to pay the ring off. The doubling effect seems rare, but maybe it's common enough to pay off the cost with time. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(
