Weird Hoarding Practices?

I often buy items weeks or months before that can or might be used for events such as Double Exp Weekends etc.
Sadly this double exp weekend didn't plan out as planned and I've been left with 375,000 Item X* still trying to sell in GE as I forgot to adjust the price of said item for a good deal for people.
I don't mind as they will come in handy for the Next Double Exp weekend which shouldn't be too long as they are often traded and keep a good price anyway.
I'll sell mine some day. In no rush.

If you buy on dozens of accounts at very low prices, you might do well.
Jumpers were a hit because not expected to return. Beach is dead because, despite the message of possible no return, many expect its return now.
Tokens sit in banks. Hoarders are the ultimate buyers. Often a buyer will spike a price. If few are in the Ge, it creates the impression that they are going up, worth holding.
My mistake with tokens was buying far too high, expecting they wouldn’t return, and not using alts. Tokens are generally slow to resell, unless selling to another hoarder. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.

Maybe I misunderstood the topic. Golden phats might rise faster than other phats. So, if you have 500 of them, it could mean a small amount of gp turning into a phat.
