i see protean logs have a fletch, burn n fletch&burn option
is it better exp to do the fletch n burn option or do them 1 at a time?
im 96 fletching n 85 firemaking. wanting to use the logs to get 99 fletching n rest was gonna go for firemaking

IMO you should convert all the logs to planks - as construction is far more expensive and arduous. Firemaking is incredibly cheap and AFK, and fletching too, is very easy.

If however, you insist, do fletch and burn.

EDIT: Take the logs to the sawmill for a 1:1: conversion, do not use right click.

^ i agree. making planks would be the best choice. i really recommend just to do woodcutting for firemaking or pvm to get the logs. and buy fletching with gp because fletching is really cheap+ you can sell the arrows you made, giving some returns. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

At your levels they give about 560-620 firemaking xp or 388 fletching xp per log.

Comparitively, burning Magic logs gives 309 xp, so you could say 1 protean is worth 2 magic logs, or ~800gp

For fletching magic logs if you only count cutting (u) shieldbows it's 91 xp so 1 protean is worth about 4 in this case, ~1600gp

It costs 5gp to convert 1 Protean Log into 1 Protean Plank at the sawmill

Protean Planks can be used to replace Mahogany Planks, which gives them a worth of 2k

Seems hard to argue that you are "saving money" by using logs as logs instead of converting them to planks. The money saved by using protean planks can be spent to buy more FM or Fletching xp than you would get from the protean logs.


But on the note of firemaking, I believe chopping Curly Roots with Superheat Form is the ideal method.
