Whats with the relatively recent interest in magical eggs? There was a time you couldn't give them away and now there's a large interest. Is it another item for manufactured wealth since they're discontinued and can't be traded on the GE?

I think it's a manufacturered demand, rather. People staging fake buys and sells to drum up interest. I dumped 9000 magical eggs at the start of the year,175k - 250k per egg. You're right, I couldn't give them away. It took months to sell.

Now suddenly, out of no where, very visible sales are happening for 2-3 M per egg? Not likely.

I don't buy into the sudden interest. I don't think it's real. I think a few guys bought everyone out and are now trying to advertise them and make them popular, and maybe some fools will buy some at a 10x mark up. I'm known as Rich King Midas, and when you look at me, you'll see a king who knows a thing about his treasury. I never cared for women. I've never cared for wine. But when I count a large amount of money - ha ha - it's divine!

I can confirm that I was able to sell 30 eggs for 2M ea, or 60M in total a few days ago.

Just as many Treasure Hunter tokens have risen in value, I think that there's been an increase of interest in these items which has led to them trading at higher levels.

@ theos fair enough. I just it difficult to believe that they've risen 10x in a few months and the community suddenly wants them.

If that's true, Iost about 18B of potential profits lol

Can confirm.
People are buying magical eggs 8-15m ea right now.
I sold off 25 easily 3 days ago for 10m.
If you had 9k magical eggs, you had roughly %10 of the market if 100k of them were put into game.
%5 if 200k were released.

%2.5 if 400k were released.
Right now, I have a feeling there is less than 100k in game
If there are 100k magical eggs.. in comparison with the scythe being 5000 released in game at a current price of, lets use an average of 3.5b price currently..
Magical eggs are 1/20th of the price of a scythe.

Which 1 egg = 175m

I know you're thinking.. Oh, but the scythe is wearable, and the scythe is desirable.
Don't look at it like that. Look at it as a value holder. Fish masks are ugly, they hold value. 25m? 35m?

Lets say, subtract 100m because its not "wearable"
Still. Thats 75m ea.

What makes Magical eggs insanely popular is that you can transfer alot of wealth ans they aren't tracked at their gp value.


But of course. You do your speculations. Even if there are X in game, just divide it by 2.
100k ig = 175m
200k ig = 87.5m

I remember someone a long time ago bought out the market for cavaliers making them 1m+ ea before they were fortunates. After trading them for a phat they quickly dropped to worthless again.
It's just like the obscure ge item scam but outside the ge this time.

Also I highly doubt the demand for magical eggs is linear...

I got like 2 from th but sold them within a week of getting them for like 100k ea. I do like their consumable status, but I expect jagex to be wary of rereleasing them after how they saw how ppl reacted to turkey being rereleased.
