From what some people are saying after zombie walk was rereleased some believe xmas scythe/holly wreath will be rereleased too. This is coming from the person I know who predicted zombie walk would be rereleased. What do you think? I need my blue charms back.

I did a bit of digging not that the old news posts can be used as proof of anything since most jmods have changed over time. Also I'm not really sure why I dug all of this up but I do remember people were generally happy that the turkeys were re-released but mostly because they didn't like Le me...

BSH was called a new rare when introduced:
"The cracker will contain a gift for its owner. The treats on offer vary, but there's a chance that it'll be a black Santa hat - a brand-new tradeable rare that's sure to be at the top of everyone's Christmas list!"

The Turkey/wreath/scythe were also called rares:
"Of the new rares on offer, the holly wreath, Christmas scythe and rubber turkeys are tradeable, so get hold of them during the two week period if you can!"

Mod Krista later gave this statement when re-releasing the turkey:
"The turkeys were items limited to Xmas, so we decided to bring them back for this Xmas themed event also.
We discussed as a team what was appropriate to bring back and what wasn't. For example we're not bringing the holly wreath back.
I can't promise that we will or won't bring anything back in the future - I don't have that much power and I don't know who will be making those decisions next year.
However, we would have discussions again as to what we should release, and I imagine the same results would happen next time as this time."

Imagine how tired we are of the same post for 5+ years now.

Jagex mods have confirmed that Xmas Scythe, Wreath AND BSH won't return, these are rares, and not "limited" items.

Tokens are limited items, they can return anytime. Jagex never called these "Rares" literally everyone knew that Zombie Walk would return eventually, and so will Assassin walk and Doctor walk too, just give it time

I was never a fan of tokens because of the high chance they would be released again at some point. I did not like seeing people invest long term in tokens because of the potential of how much money could be lost.

The rares such as the black santa, xmas scythe and holly wreath are different. Since they are rares tied to treasure hunter, I have never had complete faith in them. There is a chance they could be released again at some point. I personally do not buy them because I have no interest. After the turkey rerelease, I will never trust these new rares. I do support new tradeable holiday rares, though. If Jagex would confirm these new rares were discontinued, then I would have more interest in buying them.

I believe in the original discontinued items. The original discontinued items are where my interest has always been. You have to keep in mind that there is a difference between the term "rare" and "discontinued items". Just because Jagex says an item is a tradeable rare, does not mean it is discontinued forever.

Rumors and heresay are just that. :P

Maybe someone trying to crash items so they can rebuy at a cheaper rate. ;)

Only people who can say for sure are Jagex and I personally doubt very much they will say anything any time soon.

Now if you ask me if I'd like them added back I would say no. Enough in game now.

We all know about some Tokens. Jagex have said they could be back in time. Here they are back. :P

I think the perception is changing now with high value items. It used to be only items that were already worthless were being rereleased like boneyard tokens but now Its high value items. Zombie walk was never confirmed discontinued but Jagex knew the price of the token went over 10b at 1 point and they decided to rerelease it anyway. Scythe only maxed out at around 4.5b and wreath 15b. Jagex is starting to target High value items that are controlled by merchers as we have seen lately. The community would not care if all of these items get rereleased. Seasons items and tree hats may be targeted too but those wouldnt sell too many keys right now.

End of the day I do believe these items were intended to be discontinued But with new Jagex management and uk laws in effect There's a good chance everything can be rereleased.
I need my blue charms back.

It has nothing to do with value of items lol.

Zombie was only 10b+ because of certain players manipulating it up, like they did with the other tokens too. This was so obvious even a blind person could see it...

Even 3 years back, people were always fearing that these tokens would be re-released because that is what happens to tokens, they are promotional items.

Scythe, Wreath and BSH are rares, not promotional items.

I think you know deep inside that Scythe, Wreath and BSH never will be released again, you just love to attempt to cause some panic

Rares have history, and Jagex knows how much players value these items, and how much it means for us, and I think they know that many would quit if they re-released any of the iconic rares. It would just be a temporarily and stupid move for them

Atlantis we all know you love scythes but you gotta agree if they re-released turkeys which were set amount at the time they can well release scythes and wreaths again, only reason they didnt at the time was the price tag and probably merchers hoarding them.
Seems like they target re-release items based on concentration of said items, so the more you ppl hoard the more likely they gonna re-release them

Mod Krista later gave this statement
I can't promise that we will or won't bring anything back in the future - I don't have that much power and I don't know who will be making those decisions"

"Enchanted snow is an item used during part of the 2014 Christmas event. Players who chose to participate in this event could receive 750 enchanted snow daily from Santa's head elf (250 if the player was F2P). It was possible to collect enchanted snow from Treasure Hunter , skilling, killing monsters or participating in many activities across Gielinor. 1,000 enchanted snow was needed to be compressed into an enchanted snowball, in order to then exchange it for 1 christmas present by talking to Santa's head elf."

The items that could be gained from a Christmas present were:

Item Weekly amount Total amount
Big glowing lamp Runner-up Runner-up
Buddy pet 15,000 30,000
Christmas loot beam 37,500 75,000
Christmas scythe 750 1,500
Glowing cracker* 50,000 100,000
Rubber turkey 1,875 3,750
Off-hand rubber turkey 1,875 3,750

*A total of 1,000 Holly wreaths could be obtained by pulling a Glowing cracker.

so digging fully into how snow could be achieved all items were obtainable from Treasure Hunter
