So Vorkath is not just a dragon, or undead dragon, but a Dracolich, probably inspired by D&D's Forgotten Realm.

With that, I will guess Vorky attacks with magic primarily.

One noticeable difference, actually two noticeable differences, between the RS3 and OSRS versions of Vorky are the RS3 Dracolich has 4 legs instead of the crippled OSRS tripod. The heads are differet too. Three legs good, four legs better perhaps! The RS3 Dracolich has the head of a dragon but the OSRS one doesn't look like a dragon. The RS3 Vorky has the head of the undead dragon appeared in the 2010 official introduction trailer of the Signature Heroes.

What do you think about about the lore and other facts of the RS3 Vorkath? I'll think we can learn more of Ungael and the 4th Age Dragonkin from the RS3 Vorky, like we learned a few things about Erebus from Raksha.

Of course we are getting lots of new rewards, including BiS ones, as well as brand new city seize kind of gameplays, from the Vorkath updates. I think these are well narratives on the news blog on the Runescape.com website and the Jmod Livestream yesterday.

I found there are many things we might have learned from the Vorkath updates well worth discussing aside from the obviously great rewards.

Mod Dragon said Vorkath is her largest project, and when we already knew she has been involved in a lot of bigger graphics projects like Adrasteia in many quests, Necromancy, Het Oasis and such, especially Adrateia is modelled after herself, she probably has hinted on we may see Vorkath or other similar dragons in many future updates. After all, Mod Dragon isn't called Mod Dragon for no reason, right? :)

We certainly have a lot of dungeons in RS3 and we can go dungeoneering, we may see a lot of dragons too. Dungeons and dragons... they go in pair. It can't be wrong.

The other thing which may be very significant to all future RS3 graphics updates, especially with tied-ins to OSRS, is the OSRS character graphics models may not work in RS3. Most of OSRS's NPCs are stationary with very few animations involved. The problems with rigging a 3-legged "dragon" in OSRS which is actually not a dragon from existing dragon models exposed a lot of issues, especially when the artists want to animate such sitting ducks. That said, even if we get more of those sitting duck OSRS "bosses" to RS3, the chance is they will look very, very different with very different stories too of course, as RS3 NPCs.

it would be nice to get an original update and not some osrs trash recycled boss like how the inferno was just more osrs trash recycled into our game

How is RS3's Zuk "osrs trash recycled"? From game play to rewards to stories to graphics, none of the RS3 Zuk remotely resembles the "osrs trash Inferno Zuk".

The "osrs trash Inferno Zuk" is also based on the "Jad trash".

We already know we will need to do a lot to even get to the RS3 Vorkath just from the official developer blog. The "osrs trash Zuk" is just a sitting cripple missing a leg under Ungael. Rest assured, the RS3 Vorkath have far more things offer thanthe "osrs trash".

So we know now Vorkath used Magic and Necromancy, living exactly up to its RS3 Dracolich theme.

Now, what about the future of Vorkath, or perhaps more importantly dragonkinds or dracolichs given we haven't killed it in the quest. Vorkath fled, leaving his necromancer master in captivity of the good Fort Forinthry guards. Is there a continuing saga of Vorkath or dracolichs or whatever even bigger dragons we can learn and may even encounter from the Ungael Dragonkin Lab?

OK, we get the dragon experts, the Mordauts involved now, similar to how Mr. Mordaut's involvement in Anachronia led to the discoveries of a whole arrays of dragonkin mysteries and lore.

We know from the failed Vorkath experiement in OSRS, but are there any successful Ungael dragon products since the 4th Age not found in OSRS but will be in RS3's future? And what was the purpose of the Ungael Dragonkin experiment? And how was it related to the Dragon Graveyard in Fort Forinthry?

I imagine that the quest was RS3 version of Dragon Slayer 2 from OSRS. So don't think that's coming.

But I do agree ... we should do something about Vorkath.

I did suggest a "skilling" type boss for Vorkath where you use a combination of necromancy ritual and other skills to basically lay Vorkath to permanent rest.

I am extremely doubtful the Vorkath saga will be just as boring and totally lackbuster as OSRS's Vorkath and Dragon Slayer 2. If RS3 wanted to be so lackbuster, they would have left Vorkath and Zemo killed in the new quest.

Clearly, Battle of Forinthry didn't end like Dragon Slayer 2 which ended 6 years ago in OSRS with absolutely nothing left now in 2024. We may or may not fight Vorkath again in RS3, however, I am pretty sure there will be some episodic content and perhaps other forms of gameplays with Vorkath and Ungael Dragonkin involved in RS3, and we won't have to wait 6 years.
