I'm a little surprised that this will be the last quest before the War; I know Zaros' actions during the Battle for the Monolith will likely serve as that catalyst that will spark the war, with City of Senntisten most likely showing us exactly
how
things escalate into all-out warfare, but I expected things to simmer a little while longer before that happened.
Well, whatever. I suspect Senntisten will prove to be quite the revealing look into the Zarosian empire. I wonder what we'll find?
Now, as for what the requirements might mean...
- 74 Archaeology is the requirement to excavate the Kharid-et Chapel. That seems fairly self-explanatory; it's likely that we need something from the Chapel to open something in Senntisten, probably a church or something. My gut feeling is that we'll need a Pontifex Maximus figure, or that a fully restored 'Consensus ad Idem' painting will point to some sort of "the da Vinci Code"-esque clue.
- 74 Magic is the level requirement for Shadow Blitz, but Desert Treasure isn't a requirement, so presumably we won't need to cast Ancient Magic by ourselves. Maybe we find some sort of ruined spell scroll like the ones in Kharid-et (allowing a little bit of Shadow Magic without actually having the Ancient Spellbook) and need to use our own magic knowledge to fill in the gaps?
- 75 Slayer is required for getting tasks from Kuradal and killing Gargoyles. I don't think there's particularly strong connections between Kuradal and Zaros, but Gargoyles on the other hand... not only do they live near Forthinry, but the Slayer Tower (where they also live) was formally a Zarosian base called Viggora's Folly. Maybe we'll need to kill a Gargoyle or two to get something they're carrying? I know Jagex has said in the past that they're interested in fleshing out the Slayer Tower's history, so maybe they decided to kill two birds with one stone by connecting it to this quest?
