I am very attached to the look of my avatar, particularly the face and hairstyle. I think the face is distinctive and full of character, which is the essence of Runescape for me. When I'm in game it feels like me stood there. Whatever gets changed, please give us the option to keep our existing face, or have an override, cosmetic in Solomons, or whatever, to achieve this. I would gladly pay for this. It is vitally important to me and I know there are many other players who feel the same.

That's what a lot of us said when they changed us from the old school face to the current one. Now look at us. We don't even remember what we used to look like within a few weeks, and we didn't need to sniff crushed mud runes for that. You haven't even given the new customization a chance yet.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying the new appearances, but I would appreciate a way to revert back to the old one if I discover that I don't like the new one. Narangren Tirthallion, sword-for-hire, at your service.

Yes. Our faces have changed many times since 2001, so why can't they be changing in RS3 in 2021, and also OSRS perhaps later?

Sorry we can't or else why don't Jagex give us an option to revert our avatars in all their games back to the RSC model?

I believe you are confusing the word "can't" with "won't."
Jagex certainly can do it, but they most likely won't.
Just because they haven't done it in the past does not mean it is impossible. I have seen games with much smaller developer teams pull that off, with less funding. Jagex would have an easier time of it than they did.
If Jagex chooses not to, that's fine, but it won't be because they don't have the ability to. Narangren Tirthallion, sword-for-hire, at your service.

No. They can't because they don't have that many resources. Not all the Jmods are artists and not many of the few artists have experience doing what Iroh et al are doing for Jagex.

As I already said, I've seen games with far less resources do the same thing. It's not a matter of having artists to do it, the old avatars have already been created, it's a matter of including a switch in the settings to pick which version you want to see. It is a matter of quality. If they get over 9000 of me to do these graphics works they aren't getting anywhere, although I am extremely capable in most other non-artistic areas than a lot of people.

They need people with proven AAA experience, not 9000 of me regardless how capable and how high their IQs are. :D
