Why would you do this Jagex? It doesn't make any sense. The event is time limited as it is. To cull the experience gains from here on out, and to do it so drastically, is just saying 'fuck you' to the players involved with the event. The only reason to even engage with the event is to chase the inverted skillcapes and the two halos.

What's infuriating is that you did this in such a manner as to be opaque right up until you did it. You created a mystery box system by hiding the weekly bonus changes. 'What will the new bonuses be? Find out next week.' And now proceed - at the half way mark - to inform the player base that the next eight mystery boxes all contain middle fingers.

Wish you'd been upfront about that. You could have and should have left it at least at dxp for the remainder of the event.

How is this a surprise?

They said right at the beginning that the perks would tail off towards the end to make the transition into the main-game less of a bump back down to earth.

It makes complete sense for them to do it this way.

Tailing it off and dropping it off a cliff are different things. The bonuses are being halved for anyone who isn't still working on early-game content. If they were reversing back down the list, you could claim it makes sense, this however (one week forward, two weeks back) is nonsense.

They told us the format of the xp curve before the start of the FSW event already.

We are still seeing rising number of concurrent players. Even in the middle of the week, we are still seeing over 6k concurrent RS3 FSW concurrent players. Of course, most FSW players know and appreciate the xp curve format. That's why more and more are coming to play FSW.

I totally agree.
I'd like to have a chance to get the halos and the skillcapes but it looks impossible right now. I didn't care about the competition but it's plain to see those who lost their chances to grind xp in the first two weeks are now only wasting time in fs worlds.

Plus there's too much to do in the official game: first a yak track then a holiday event and now a dxp event... Hallo Jagex, most people here can't play the whole day through. :(

Jagex also said that all unique items that can be obtained in FSW will be available again in mainscape so that mainscapers won't need to worry about "fear of missing out" on FSW.

They have not yet figured out how these items will be re-released, but watch this space!

Halos from Competitions won't be obtainable from the main game. They may run FSW again in the future but halos from future FSW competitions will extremely likely be different than the ones from FSW Competition 2022.

Not to be rude, in case you missed it they got a permanent middle finger up. They are in no way trying to do *logical* things but rather thing's that tickle their own feelings.

FSW servers was a total flop ever since they changed their advertising approach from new players to con current, they were just in it for the $ from the start so any surprises is surely a surprise.

In other words don't take anything from this FSW event, it's a joke just like Jagex.

*Unless you're in it for the GP like Jagex is in it for the $, then carry on and receive bad karma*
Always think creatively, and you shall be creative.

They are reducing the xp after the competition period in RS3 FSW because most of the FSW players in RS3 FSW are new and returning players as RS3 intended for. They want new and returning RS3 players to gradually naturalize and assimilate into the playing format of existing main game FSW players, so RS3 FSW and existing players will eventually be a single happy family when January 2023 comes.

That's also why they don't allow gp swapping between RS3 and RS3 FSW. Otherwise, existing RS3 players will be completely messing up the FSW economy and xp rate, hence significantly dividing FSW and the main game.
