MOD CHAOSE - DAEMONHEIM ARCHEOLOGY

Continuing his dark descent into the underbelly of Daemonheim in such of historical treasures, Mod Chaose has brought along Mod Frosch to future look into some of the mysteries of the dungeon.

It is about time to dig up some ancient archaeology dirts regarding the Strange Power, "Floor 61" Rift, Necrolords, Fremmenik Sagas... and perhaps the fabled and well hidden Dragonkin Castle.

What do you expect to see?

What I'm interested to see is if we will have to be in a Dungeoneering floor to access the debris nodes or if there will be a separate section in the Daemonheim area.

Further, I would imagine that certain debris nodes will require certain Dungeoneering levels to access them (i.e. debris located in frozen floors, occult floors, etc.)

Either way, this is one of the future updates I'm really looking forward to.

My first impression is if we get a new Daemonheim Digsite it will be outside the dungeon as we have plenty of snow covered real estate on the peninsula.

It will be interesting if the Digsite is in the dungeon though. Perhaps when we dig at Floor 60 and will fall through and eventually reach the Rift. :D

I expect to be pleasantly surprised with any rewards from the upcoming daemonheim micro digsite.

I will be even more surprised if "Daemonheim Archaeology" is not just a new digsite but a bland new way to play Archaeology content. Of course, it can also be a digsite PLUS new Archaeology content and surprise us even more.

I agree, I think it will be outside of Dungeoneering.

However, I do hope that it is comprised of it's own separate tunnel/cave that is restricted by Dungeoneering levels. For example, if there are occult-themed debris piles, you must have access to occult floors to access these Archaeology nodes.

These things are probably implemented as Mysteries rather, say, we dig and find and start new mysteries that take us into the Deameonheim dungeon floors, or new ones elsewhere, and we have to do miniquests like the Fremenik Sagas.

Let me add to that....

Senntistlen "microdigsite" is great for all kinds of lore behind EGW and Shadowrealm. I don't mind if we get such a "microdigsite" in Deamonheim Arhaeology. RS3 doesn't call everything "huge". RS3 players should be accustomed to be surprised by such "microdigsite" patches turning into something very entertaining and satisfying for the next 22 years. :)

With Dead and Buried linked us to Dragonkin, and concluded the Fort Forinthry storyline, I think we may be revisiting all kinds of Dragonkin labs and Othern to get clues that may lead us to the eventually discovery of the Dragonkin Castle... which is in Daemonheim.

I think Daemonheim Archaeology will be the prelude to the long awaited discovery of the Dragonkin Castle, in time when we have acquired the Necromantic abilities to commune with the pre-historic dragonkin perished in the First Age.
