If you are going to reinstall daily challenges, can't you make it so that the tasks we get are actually challenging? I always felt they were a joke. Cutting 10 logs, catching 14 fish, mining 10 ores etc. are not challenging. They are things that take half a minute each.
If not, then at least give it another name.

They can, but they are bringing back how it was before it was removed because that's what most players wanted. Fast dailies that give fast and good rewards. You might want challenging challenges, but more players don't.
If you think a task is "to easy" then just do the hardest task.
Why cut normal longs, just do Elder or crystal trees. Why catch shrimp when you can do sailfish. Why mine copper when you can mine {whatever the highest ore is called}
Op is just bitc...... "complaining" for the sake on complaining.
Logic, who needs it...
it used to be alot harder. the task would be larger and specify the item and if it was an item you had to turn it in for credit. they changed it to small generic tasks cause the amount of time some challenges took made them something people didnt bother doing.

No, I am complaining because I think the whole thing is stupid. This game is evolving more and more in the direction of getting XP for doing virtually nothing instead of actually playing the game.
How about this for an update: Make a right click option on the skills interface where we can level up one level in any skill. If you then want 30 levels in a skill, you just click on it 30 times. And for those of you who want the game to be harder, you can just choose not to click on it, right?

Mod Jack has explained the design. They said most players can't afford the time to grind all levels in traditional MMO, so many mdoern MMO have mechanism to let players to instantly start at near max level (e.g. WoW) or buy skips (e.g Final Fantasy). RS3 tries to do something in between old school MMO and new school MMO and give us the plenty of options to get xp faster, while keeping the slow xp tracks available to players who prefer to grind.

That is a failed approach, because a game like this is only fair if all players have it equally hard.
If Jagex think the game is too hard to level up, then they should make it easier to level up. I do not get why they keep the basic game hard and then allow people to simply buy their ways to levels without even playing the game. Why would anyone make a game and then reward people for not playing it? It is insane.
The very fact that there are ways to buy or get free daily XP is proof that the basic game is way too hard. They should not exist at all.
This is also the reason why I have no respect for anyone who has high levels in this game, like max levels or 200m XP in all skill, because they most likely just bought their way to it.
