Will Christmas Food be deleted after the event is over? I can't imagine this hasn't been asked before but all I'm seeing are "BUYING XMASFOOD" all over the forums.

They shouldn't do. I've seen them most Christmas events. You always see people buying them at Christmas, then trying to sell them for 2x during summer. By that time everyone has their eyes on the summer event items, so they're not easy to profit with. Just my 2 cents. Bob says:
