Is this the point to start speculating about rewards from the upcoming sequel to Desperate Times?
Personally what I'd like to see:
- permanent Ring of Charos effect
We got it with the Ring of Visibility effect thanks to Sliske, though that did require the player completing several GM level quests.
A similar thing could be done here if the player has completed all current quests and activities that required the player to use Ring. (In essence, the NPCs are already affected by it with your presence, thus making it easier for the effect to become permanent.)
In addition, it's not exactly a game breaking feature. a few reduced costs in specific cases (transportion networks, cape sellers) and some added dialogue.
- 5 Effigies for the lowest Quest XP Reward Skills or "unattuned"
Hear me out on this one.
We have A LOT of quests in game. A lot of quests give fixed XP rewards for specific skills. A few quests give the player some sort of option on where to put it all.
Agility, might stun you, has over 1 million XP (currently) from dedicated quest rewards.
Cooking on the other hand, only gives out about 70k (currently)
What would be unusual about these effigies is they would stay fixed in the skill(s) for all states.
Here, 1 of 3 things can happen
Option 1: Devs just go to the wiki, find the 5 skills that give the least. Players still have to have Level 91-97 (boostable usually) in the skill. And you complete the Effigies like normal.
Option 2: Unattuned effigies mean that the effigies can be directed by the player to what skill or skill pairing they want. They just can't select the same skill/pair for all 5. (450k reward spread out over 5 skills, just limit on what you can select)
Option 3: either of the above effects, just nerfed skill level (ie: you can access all the states at once, they give XP like a normal effigy, but don't need Level 91 to start)
Oh, and no opportunity for the effigy pet, nor a Dragonkin lamp.
