People have been paying 'over' for dark-animica stone spirits this week. I wonder why...

"Tagga’s Core Hammer is a level 80 Mining off-hand that’ll give you +10% critical strike chance and +35 critical strike damage when equipped. When mining ores from the fungal core using Tagga’s Core Hammer, you’ll have the chance to receive Deathspore Arrowtips. The higher tier of ore, the higher the chance to get Arrowtips – and the more you’ll get!"

I'm not saying people 'in the know' have been anticipating a price hike, but it certainly looks that way. I wonder what else has gone up in price, pre-release of this new update / pre-public knowledge.

That said, love the update, big fan of the off-hand skilling items. Can't wait to use them!

Who else is looking forward to these skilling off-hands and the new rune pouch upgrade? Bob says:

I see not just dark animica but the other high level stone spirits have been going up in prices too. So?

Why do players "in the know" buy dark animica spirits but not just the ores or bars that aren't really moving much in prices lately?

Hi Dilbert, I figured you could get the arrow tips whilst training higher tier resources like animica. But I could be wrong. The post does say "from the fungal core" so maybe the high tier stone-spirit price hike has nothing to do with it. I guess we'll have to wait for the 27th to find out! Bob says:

To me it definitely looks like we can mine any tier of ore to have a chance to get the new arrowtips, so the people "in the knows" should have no reason to just buy dark animica stones spirits but not all the others.

I'm looking forward to training woodcutting again! I enjoyed that 99, but I've not had much reason to train it since divination hit the price of logs pretty hard. This should be fun.

Also looking forward to having way more bank space thanks to the new seed bag! Bob says:

Price of logs hit pretty hard???? Elder logs are just 1% off its 6 month high, near the historical high at 10.3k each actually.

New arrow probably means higher demand for high end logs, if not Elders anyway, especially when 2H Ranging with arrows becomes more favorable than 1H Ranging with bolts.

15th September (exactly 1 week before the Twitch stream) is when Dark Animica Stone Spirits started going up for seemingly no reason. I don't know about Elder Logs though, I don't follow them on the G/E (I wonder if they were already going up pre announcement too).
May have to check the G/E graph from Sept 15th and see if there is a correlation. Bob says:

Again, why aren't other stone spirits going up with your conspiracy theory?

Why don't you look at the GE graph now and can easily see elder logs have been going up even if you just look at their prices from Sept 15 and onward (from 9,782 to 10,293).
