GWD3 opens alongside next DXP?

It was being hinted on today's Jmod Lead Q&A that a big release will come alongside next DXP Live. What do you think it will be?

Since they also revealed the Elder Godwar saga will kick off later this mouth, I have the feeling the update they were talking about will be GWD3.

Of course, there are other bigger project including RS3 Mobile too, but personally I think it will come a little later.

I feel like it's too soon for the dungeon itself to open. I imagine we're going to get one more quest before that happens, one focused around Zaros' siege of the Monolith alluded to at the end of Azzy's Quest and Seren's (and possibly the Elder Gods themselves) response to it. Although, who knows, maybe that'll be a World Event instead? It has been a while since the last one.

My gut feeling is that GWD3 won't happen until either the late summer or the fall, either of which would be later than the next DXP.

We are likely getting such quest or lore based content on April 26 according to the last Q&A Livestream. :)

I agree with you timeline, however i believe jagex said there would be no more world events, as they get very little player participation and are basically a waste of resources once the event ends.

They added an update at the same time as a dxp previously, it pissed ppl off I hope it doesn't happen again.

They added an update at the same time as a dxp previously, it pissed ppl off I hope it doesn't happen again.

How did it piss anybody off? I am pretty sure we can get dxp training in GWD3 too if it is indeed what the big update coming alongside DXP.

Besides, don't forget in the DXP Live format, we only have 48 hours of DXP time over 10 days. We still have 192 hours to do anything we like in the new content after finishing off our 48 hours of DXP time.

It is confirmed the next DXP Live will run from May 3rd and May 24th, and RS3 Mobile will be released in June, so the big release coming alongside the next DXP Live is not the RS3 Mobile launch.

Thus, it is becoming even likier the big release is the grand opening of the Godwar Dungeon 3. :)
