Here's how you can try out a Fresh Start Server without paying Jagex directly.


Step 1: Create a new account on RS3. I'm not sure if where it's created will matter, but this is just to be safe. Create, but don't log in.

Step 2: Log in to the account on OSRS and complete Tutorial Island. This will remove the ability for the account to participate in Fresh Start in OSRS, so bear that in mind. Make the account ironman, if you wish.

Step 3: Give a bond to the OSRS account using another account. You can "use" a bond on the account if it's an ironman to send it over.

Step 4: Redeem the bond for membership.


Congratulations, you now have membership on a new account that hasn't yet accessed RS3!

I'm well aware. As I said in OP, you're not directly paying Jagex.

Some people feel like Fresh Start worlds will be unfair because they're being forced to pay to participate, when this necessarily isn't the case. Since the biggest complaints are from longtime players, surely they have enough spare gold to get a few bonds.

Yet you're still "paying" with ingame gp are you not?

Plus ppl arent understanding that these servers arent aimed at longtime players but newcomers that were added during this event.

Hence why it happening during it.

Plus do you really expect ppl to spend however much a bond is on osrs just to use this loophole or w/e?

I mean yes ppl dont like having to pay jagex for this, but this is real stretch.

If ppl are going to be against this, why even play it at all?

That obviously means you liked this thus you might as well pay for it.

They can take it or leave it. Nonetheless, the option remains.
