Well now, there's certainly been a flurry of activity surrounding Daemonheim recently, hasn't there?
Between the Zamorakian Civil War featuring Daemonheim as one of its two major factions, recent talk of Dungeoneering bosses getting rebalanced for the first time in about a decade, and now the reveal that Mod Chaose's Game Jam project was a new mini-digsite set in Daemonheim's surrounding areas, it seems that ol' Daemonheim is finally due for some love that it hasn't gotten in a long, long time.
But it makes me wonder: is this all buildup for a larger Daemonheim-centric update?
In recent years, Jagex has been very... for lack of a better word, "deliberate" in how it does its new content for RS3. Very few releases are done just for their own sake; they're usually built with a bigger picture in mind. So for Jagex to suddenly put so much focus on it, especially after ignoring it for so long... smells to me like they've got something big cooking. And with the Civil War due to end in just a month or two, they might be serving up that "something" very soon.
So what do you think we're looking at? A full remastering of Dungeoneering? The fabled Floor 61? Will we finally discover the truth behind Daemonheim's "taint"? And do you think that 2022 being the first year since 2016 that we didn't get a Raffle/Lucky Dip event was secretly a sign that Golden Chaotics are going to be made obtainable by other means (probably not, but hey, a man can dream)?
