As mentioned in last year's leadership Q&A, Mods Warden and MIC talked about a consolidated one-stop shop for all our in game item needs. It is happening next week.

So, are we all excited we can shop in game without going through the current very tedious way of getting ourselves logged out from the game in order to access SGS etc from the webpages?

This certainly explains their seemingly random announcement last week that they were intending to retire Hearts of Ice and convert them to Oddments in the near future. Seems like it was part of a larger consolidation plan.

Good. Solomon's has been archaic for a while, and it was honestly a bad look. A shiny new in-game store will look much more appealing to the newbies/long-lost returning players who are drawn in by Mobile's full launch this summer.

I wonder how this will affect game card redemptions. I guess they just change what game cards offer? What if a stealth membership price increase is on the way?

Not saying they won't increase the membership price since they haven't done that for years already, but realistically they don't need to give us a Marketplace to hike the membership price.
