I want to keep it short and sweet but open to pushback.

Rant: One aspect osrs has always struggled in was gold/item sinks. Personally, I don't mind most skill ideas but I always wonder if will this change the game to drastically like eoc. For example, I think summoning would be to drastic because it would essentially be required for all content to be competitive. That being said osrs doesn't have to be competitive. Another huge issue is will it help attract new players or not which is a whole topic of its own because osrs is niche.

Solutions: I think we have an easy cheat sheet/road map. We can look at the good aspect of RS3. An easy example of this is smithing. Its way more interactive and allows more depth as well as reward, gathering the resources can be done afk and slow or you can be active and get more xp leaning into the gratification reward benefit of playing. We could also have more passive collection options like miscellanea to help suck gold out of the game well offering items with a little more value. Then if crafting, smithing, and so on are more relevant the resources flooding the game would be used for items players could consume like cannonballs, potentially a new weapon that uses a craftable item. You could keep it on the higher end so bots can't exploit it as easily without significant risk.

Downside: RS3 had its ups and downs but the main issue imo is the saturation of different items, tickets, and so on. They take away any real sense of value for what you'r getting so you dont get sucked in well. (solution) Implement something like anew world where one item works for all items. though that can run the risk of being too simple.

Closing: Hats off to the team I don't understand why any company would ever bother with MMO's so hard to please the community and you're wrong regardless of what you do. Im sure you all want the best for the game and have a passion for it I just wish you could express it as rs3 devs can. Unfortunately I don't like Rs3.
