I just watched a vid where cryptbloom with animate dead makes the ring's bleed deal far less damage and how it lets you survive kk's green bomb and telos's anima bomb and vorago phasing and araxxor. Can we let the ring stay like this for these bosses so new players can brute force past mechanics? Don't nerf it next week, instead keep it this good. It's not broken, it's balanced. This isn't like how animate dead worked with tmw. It's different. If anything, the ring's new effect is kinda underpowered.

RoD is actually buffed quite a bit, at least to me.

I am not a big risk taker, and I believe most Average Joe or new pvmers aren't either. Before the update, most of the time I had my RoD on because I was scared of losing like 5 to 10 mil gp per death. Now, I am playing the game with RoD switching like the pros after the update as the difference of death cost is just a mere 30k with or without RoD on. I also save a lot of onyxes by not wearing my RoD most of the time.

This is really a nice buff to most non-elitist pvmers.

It is still very good for many situations when we just need a few more seconds to finish a boss. This is especially good for Average Joes like me who would otherwise be wearing the RoD all the time without reaping the benefits of better combat rings.

To be honest, it's bizarre to me that this nerf would occur when the concern was that it "made the game too easy". I would have thought that the bleed balanced it out. I could see the argument for phasing, but shouldn't the ring give you incentive to complete the kill for longer time-gated boss fights like Vorago? I don't see this as a huge issue. Also in regards to the bleed increase, why couldn't the ring have just done hard typeless damage that wouldn't be reduced by animate dead rather than increasing the damage it dealt?

And if we're concerned about the item making "the game too easy", shouldn't animate dead and "crutchbloom" be looked at with the same criticism? The combination literally reduces damage by over 50% in many instances and it in combination with hellhounds is the only way people are getting over 4000% enrage Zammy kills. Wouldn't that be a better indication of what is overpowered in the game? I haven't seen a single person do it in Ranged or Melee.

I'm also stating this as someone who was not really an advocate for the ring in its pre-nerf state. Post initial change (pre-nerf), this ring procced and ruined one of my AOD kills on my main due to the bleed with it procing before my Sign of Life. It has sat in my bank since as I thought it was pretty useless and that there were better rings. I think this change is just going to exacerbate the same mindset.
