For no reason client closes, when i look into the windows 11 logs, it states:

Uitzonderingscode: 0xc0000005
Foutmarge: 0x000000000096e7ad

seen this error on windows 10.

using i5 13500, 32gb ram, amd vega 56 8gb GFX.

windows is uptodate, latest amd drivers installed.

I want to use the old client, but the runescape website only lets me download the BETA laucher.

My Solution :

I downgraded my AMD driver to 22.5.1 ( downloaded from AMD website)

and behold NO crashes since driver downgrade..


Just the Runescape client crying about having over 6 month old GFX driver...


With the beta laucher, I had client close without any error.
Except when you look into the windows Logs. rs2client.exe, v927.1.0.0 errorcode xc000005

wich i've seen on windows 10.

Latest communication from Jagex was on 5 december Engine patch notes.
