So we can get any or may be all the skilling outfits from just participating in the DXP event. Slayer masks, Sunfury and the likes and the upgrades too.

What are you going to get?

My alts are going to be really loving this year's DXP Live!

I have everything on this main already because I have been playing over 21 years. I only need to crawl my way to 120 Necromancy to regain Master Max so there aren't still many things too appealing to buy for my main. Perhaps Dummy Processors, Star Redirectors and such for high DXP token cost? What do you think?

No it's not.

It's yet another currency (it wasn't long ago they said they were going to reduce the number of currencies in-game), and it sells things otherwise available elsewhere.

Now if this is going to replace one of those older styles of currencies, for example, Nic and Vic the Traders which stock pretty much the same wares as the DXP shop, then perhaps this is the better way to go forward.

Are they all needed? No.

As it stands, is it useful for those have already met all their XP goals? After unlocking the old cosmetics, no.

I do not agree. It removes the insentive to play the parts of the game where you would get those outfits. Why would you play Stealing Creation or Pyramid Plunder to get outfits, when you can just buy them now? Yet another step towards making minigames even deader than they already are.

All the stuff you can buy is the same as Vic the traders shop, you just save the bond to summon him and dont need to trade dxp for credit. So nothing new there.
Yes, there is something new here, because now they just come in for free when you do whatever in the game. It is not something you must pay for with bonds or otherwise. It ruins the game.

DXP Token Store is quite different from Vic Store, not only with some different items, but also with the mechanics. Vic's Store is a trade off between bxp and credits and therefore store items, but DXP Tokens are absolutely BONUS to all the players. We don't have to give Vic anything and yet we get more. Vic's tradeoff is also not liked by some players... and some even call it "scam". Huge difference with DXP Tokens.

Right! Persistent to the EVENTS like H'Oddments are persistent to future Halloween Events and the likes, but they aren't IN GAME currencies and have nowhere else to be obtained in the game when DXP events aren't running. Event currencies and regular in game currencies like gp are different beasts.

By then they have already done the damage. People have bough whatever outfit pieces they were missing. It is is not like the outfits go away after the event.

What "damage" when a lot of people want skilling outfits from playing the game, especially with no MTX involved?

I certainly read in many places even in the RSOF many users want alternative means to obtain minigame rewards. Skilling outfits, slayer masks and such are minigames and Thalers rewards. DXP Token Shop is a great supplemental ways to obtain harder to such rewards.
