So the beach is over and every day I get a message upon logging in telling me how many more days the cocktails will be in my bank before being removed from the game. That implies that we still have a few more days to use up any cocktails that we may have gotten at end of the event (I believe that is how it was in the past, but not positive). I tried to use 1 today and got a message - this item no longer works as the power of the beach has expired. Can you explain why you didn't just remove the cocktails when the beach ended instead of letting us think that we would still be able to use them for a few days?
The Beach and its activities are gone now. What do you use the cocktails on?
This was always how they did it the Beach and the cocktails in the past. They probably have a in game scheduled program to remove some event items like cocktails. It is not new,
Unfortunately, this is a silly glitch that Jagex hasn't fixed yet. Why I do not know. It's not new either. I guess until someone finds a way to exploit it, they won't fix it.
DILBERT2001 asked: What do you use the cocktails on?
Well Dilbert, the cocktails can be used on many things, not just the beach activities. For example the Pineapplerini is used for gatherer skills. The examine information is "Drinking this will give a 2% XP bonus (stackable to 10%) to all gatherer skills for 30 minutes. Side effects include increased self-confidence and not knowing when to stop talking." The skills that are affected by drinking this are Archaeology, Divination, Farming, Fishing, Hunter, Mining, and Woodcutting.
Yep they use to work after the event ended for the first 5 years but then changed the year, they removed the beach ball rolling so about 3 years ago. Silly having the daily warning but do not destroy them (unless you need bank space) as you may get oddments when they are removed.
Ty Hriak, you get my post. Obviously someone else doesn't. I believe we were able to use the remaining cocktails we had for a few days in the past. If we can't why were they not removed at the end of the beach event?? The beach cocktails could be used anywhere so was hoping to finish off some but guess not. If they won't work just freaking get rid of them
That's the point. It took me just a few seconds to destroy all the leftover cocktails. It is really not a major concerns, so a very low priority issue perhaps.
I have all the same thoughts and feelings as OP!

Just because it is the way they always did it doesn't mean it is right.
They should not tell us that we can keep the rewards for a couple of days and then make them unusable. That is just wrong. Either remove them immediately or let us use them for as long as we have them.

They didn't tell us we will get whatever "rewards" you think. In fact, they told us the Beach Event would be over by a certain date. We also got oddments automatically when they were "removed". This is by far the better rewards to the players.
Content updates have priorities too. When the RS3 team is said to be busy for GameJam project this week and therefore not many updates this week, most RS3 players probably think this is right when they just use the same procedure they have been using on removing cocktails.
