Hi Jagex, I wish I could say it's been a long time old friend, but that would be a lie. I feel we are no longer friends.

I have a different perspective on the hero pass buffs in relation to the rs3 combat system. Keep in mind this view point is admittedly limited to me and I would assume a very small amount of the community.

I have neurological issues that keep me from making accurate muscle movements and reactions. It takes me longer to type than most without messing up, among other things. The issue is combat. Any bossing worth doing involves timing abilities to be able to avoid taking massive damage. Currently the only boss I can do even halfway decent is 5 mechanic arch glacor because I only have to have use one ability for frost cannon (and vindicta because I can click out of the way). Everything else is WAY harder for me because I cannot do even partial manual. I enjoy the weapons and look of rs3 which is why I didn't want to go play osrs, and I haven't made a post about it since its introduction years ago.

But hero pass gave me a bit of hope I could eventually get the damage reduction, and maybe be able to kill a few more bosses than I could other wise. Don't get me wrong, I still dislike it, and wish it had been done in addition to yak track rather than replacing it, but it was the only potentially good thing I saw about it. I wish we could go back to no buyable content aside from bonds/rune metrics.

Maybe update Miscellania to where you have a chance of keys/exp lamps/yak trak stuff/clue caskets instead of supplies since it is dead content, and would act as another gold sink that all members could access.

I get this is mostly a me issue, and I don't expect anything to be done about it (it wouldn't even be fair to others if it was). I just wanted to get it off my chest that current combat and bossing isn't viable for all, and I had hoped the damage reduction would allow me to enjoy more aspects of the game. Thank you for your time. For Guthix.

No, you don't as the Chaos Ward buff which reduces 20% damages only work on the elite Zamorak Undercity dungeon. Nothing elsewhere, not frost cannon from Arch Glacor and such. You won't lose a thing as if you have problem with Arch Glacor, elite Zamorak dungeon is definitely not designed for you.

Ah, I was obviously under the impression it would work anywhere. Yeah I get it, most of the game isn't designed for me lol!

Not exactly. There are a lot of features that can help players with accurate movement of muscles and reactions.

Let's look at your adventure with Arch Glacor's frost cannon as an example. Literally in normal mode, anybody and just sit there and counter it easily. Praying mage and use devotion will completely negate frost cannon. Using a shield and reso it will not only negate the damage but heal yourself. A dose of powerburst of vitality will double your HP for a few seconds.

The even more useful feature is you can do everything with keybinds, and eventually just sit there without moment. Perhaps you can't kill 4k Telos with your eyes blind-folded, but RS3 is actually quite easy and not very texting for players with accurate movement of muscles and reactions.
