Hello,
I am confused on this ability to purchase the Santas Letter from the shop for 400 Christmas spirit.
We are allowed three letters a day
1 from speaking with Clemente
1 from doing all of your dailies
1 from randomly skilling in the Christmas village

So for my situation. I spoke with Clemente, got one. I spent some time skilling in the village, got another. But I do not have time to do all my dailies. So I went to purchase that ticket and it says LOCKED.
I have also NOT been able to do the holiday quest yet either. So, I guess my question in two fold. Is the option LOCKED because I have not done the holiday quest yet? or is it only allowed to be purchased for the missed ticket from skilling in the village.
I was under the assumption you could purchase that ticket if you missed either of the three I have mentioned above ( speaking with Clemente, completing all dailies, skilling in village).

If anyone has a definitive answer to my question, I would greatly appreciate it.

You can only buy a letter that you missed . You haven’t missed a letter until the daily reset at midnight. Any missed letter each day carry over the whole event. So say you miss a whole week, or 21 letters, the next week you can buy 21 letters from the previous week. Buoyancy, RuneScape player since ‘08

I found a little "problem" myself getting the 3rd Letter to Santa skilling in Santa Village yesterday. No Letter after 2 hours which was unusual. Knowing I could buy the missed Letter the next day with just 400 Christmas Spirit, I just went on with with Vorkath and daily Reaper. I bought the missed Letter today.

A tips here is if you have spare Christmas Spirit (perhaps after buying out everything from the event shop), you may just save yourself a little time farming the daily Letters by just buying them the next day. :)

It's been a week, and I am still not sure how the letters work as they seem random. My normal routine is do daily challenge and get a letter, then do daily present and this is when it gets strange as on some accounts, I get letter and others I don't. If I get a letter, then I can claim my free one by talking to the imp and skip the skilling letter as I already have 3. If I didn't get a letter from daily present sack, then I have to get from skilling but that takes less than 5 seconds.

AFAIK each day, we are guaranteed one Letter from completing all 3 daily challenges and another one from just talking to Clemente. We will also get one Letter skilling in Santa Lounge.

On top of these 3 fixture Letters, we can also get Letters randomly from different sources. So far, I believe I have obtained Letters from delivering a daily Santa Sack gift, one from completing the Christ quest, one from Christmas Presents from the Wrapping Papers events.

Of course, we can buy missed Letters from the previous day (only when we didn't hit the 3 Letter daily quota) from the Christmas Sprit Shop for 400 Spriit each.

There may be other ways to get random Letter drop that I didn't personally experience.
