At some of the events mid level players struggle to make the 70k before the high level players have got >>> 70k and the 'all player total' is completed.
I suggest that having 3 worlds that always go to 5 minutes on a combat phase would mostly solve this.
e.g. 1 world on servers in each of America, Europe, and Australia.
