You don't really have to plant the daily seed. You get 20% more favor planting the daily one, but for most part, I just plant the high seeds, especially the cheap Lantadyme.
Note that following the daily recommendation may not be netting you the best Crux Equa favor daily as low seeds give less Favor. For example, if today's daily seed is Spirit Weed, we get 240 instead of 200 Favor harvesting a patch with 10 seed planted comparing to 200 normally. However, if we plant 10 Lantadyme seeds ignoring recommendation, we get 400 Favor per patch. Of course, we don't want to just blindly follow the daily recommendation.
Most high seeds are pretty cheap now actually. Only the mid tier ones like Avantoes are still 10k each because of a lot of farming interests from new players and existing pvmers.
