Tradable Hermodic Plate

Title really says it all.

I think Hermodic Plates should become tradable. Having to kill the same boss 300 times (on average) is not my idea of having a good time. Kili's tasks are already good a gatekeeper for T90 power armour, so I really don't see the use in forcing all players to kill Hermod 300 times.

It would also give the boss long-term value, since it does not really drop anything else of value.

Besides, the That Old Black Magic quest already forces people to kill Hermod a bunch of times for the drumsticks, so what's the point?

Thanks for the advice. I do have T90 tank armour and it is a big help. Still, I would also like to get the power armour, so the problem remains the same. Even with 1.5 minute kills, it's just very time consuming and boring :p

I was just reading a thread about the drop rate of hermodic plate. I do think the 1/10 rate is kind of stupid for an item you need to make armor. They really should make it more like 50% or even 25% change. Once you have made the armor, you can buy at GE btw.

I have had some bad luck on the drops as well, getting my first only after 25 kills. So, yeah. Improved drop rates would be nice too. Still, I would prefer tradability, since it would give the boss added value also after getting the armour.

Oh second thought. Agree with OP. Would be good to actually make some money. Remove the requirement for getting pieces by killing the boss. You are going to be fighting the boss several times anyway to complete a quest. Don't make rng a factor to upgrade power robes.

Perhaps the plates are of a lighter/more efficient material than the default, allowing us to do more damage? Just thinking of a possible lore for it ;-)

As for the suggestion - perhaps the plates should be tradeable, but they would then need to be balanced some way to make certain that those who are buying the plates, still kill the boss a respectable number of times... perhaps just add in a kill count to the requirements of unlocking the armor?

Keep them untradeable, but make more usages out of them. Use them in new rituals to create necrotic materials for Necrotic accessories, auras and such, and new necrotic components for Necromancy perks. These will be just a start, and their potentials are unlimited.
