915 kills with 2 drops. i average 20 ish kills per hour. at this rate the drop log will take me 3500+kills, which is 175 hours.

this boss proves beyond all doubt jagex couldn't care less about players mental health.

where is the bad luck mitigation and "drop in order" mechanics?

do jagex even realise what this kind of mechanism does to ironmen with OCD issues?

i kill the guy for 6 hours a day and get nothing, its beyond a joke

Edit: part of the problem is that jagex looks at the 1% pvm streamers and goes "oh they can do 1 minute kills, so we have to adjust drop rates to people killing 60 an hour" without realising not only do those maths not add up in reality, but that 99% of the player base cant do 1 minute kills, and have to factor in deaths, and stopping to chat, etc, etc

they seriously need to add bad luck mitigation and start basing drop rates of of normal people not the racers

Drop rate will catch up again, you just had a bad luck start. Happens to all of us. Just hang in there or take a break. Definitely don't over stress yourself.

And it's a good thing drops are random otherwise the whole pvm drop table and title races wouldn't have a meaning. If you don't like this I don't know why you started an ironman but oh well.

Original message details are unavailable.
370 dry now , i dont know man dont see any catching up yet.
got my first drop at 360, and it was gloves, second was 777, a lantern, and omni at 960ish

your right not to believe anyone who tells you drops will catch up, because the game doesnt know hwo many kills you have been dry, and as there is no bad luck mitigation, you easily be like that poor person on reddit with 980 kills and nothing but the pet

its bad game design, this was fine for things like nex where there is a 1 in 20 chance, but not 1 in 100 for individual parts of an entire set, its jsut makes it an awful grind

as fyi, i just got two more drops at 1020 and 1040, a second gloves and lantern, totally useless to an iron like me XD

i stil say we need bad luck mitigation on first set, and for that first set to drop in order
i dont care that other older bosses are worse, thats not relevant to here and now

22 drops in 1500 kills (1 in 68) and 17 drops in 1500 kills (1 in 88) from 2 different users on the same Reddit thread about drop rate:

There are definitely many users having better luck (with much bigger samples too) than some others. This is what RNG is.
