Simple example of my question:

I am given a daily task of Woodcutting. If I am NOT woodcutting, I am still seeing progress on the bar. Of course, if I am Woodcutting, I am also seeing progress toward the daily goal. My question is:

Is there a difference (time wise) in completing the daily task (I, II & III)???

Yes, we do get Hero Points that count toward all kinds of progression including completion of Daily and Weekly Missions, by doing almost everything that gives xp to a skill. Yes, we can do anything not named Woodcutting to complete a Daily Mission even when the focused task is Woodcutting.

Yes, there is a difference if you are not focused on the assigned task. You just get normal Hero Points instead of 2x Hero Points granted with doing the assigned task.

Thank you. I understand better now. As to "time to complete task," I am assuming then that there is no difference. Whether it is an assigned skill (in this case Woodcutting) or not, the time it takes to complete the individual task is unchanged. It is only gaining an extra hero point that makes the difference.

You get 4 Hero Points per minute while skilling as standard. If you are doing the assigned skill, you will get 8 Hero Points per minute.

This means you can complete the task in half the time when doing the assigned skill compared to doing it with another skill.

The reward for completing that task remains the same.
