So if you try to buy a bond from another player over ge: there is a 2% tax to trade it, and a 10% tax to make it tradeable again,

it seems Jagex has been trying to mitigate these procedures using taxes

It does not seem Jagex has even made an effort to realize when these taxations overlap

I think taxing the ge is lazy and short sighted.

This is obviously a half measure and has not been thought through.

THIS IS POSITIVE FEEDBACK.

FEEDBACK NONETHELESS.

Possible taxation updates:
Why not remove tax for anything at or below middle offer?
This would mean offers placed before market movement would be valued (only providing one flip)

future posting

I believe players having longstanding offers on ge is what maintains usable supply on ge.
I speculate offers at 5% are now 7%+ waiting for longer flips and removing supplies from players who need them in the game (derivatives)

what does this tax actually pay for?

If this liquidity pool were going to increase monster drops to promote the actual playing of this game?

Is this a GP sink? and would it not apply more harslhly to normal players coming off their bottom line instead of a positive investment dividend?

Realize the owners of this game are not in your tax bracket while raking in money from similar ge flipping scams in real life (WITHOUT CONSISTENT TAXATION) this is not how real markets currently work in capitalism. 2% annually is a very typical management take from those managing these hedge funds.

reasons this will not slow down merchanting whales:

If players can hold onto a dxp pattern of flips they still stand to make over 2% of profit.
-This means that flipping is not likely to decline.

reasons dxp and free xp patterns have actually caused this:

Double exp weekends have been a way jagex has promoted binge playing among its player base.
This provides merchants with a very clear set of trends to follow: one who's currency over utility cannot be missed.
This increses the number of players trying to rake in more positive investment dividends
