Is there a way to check what stage each of the buildings are at?
I should probably have made a note of where I'm up to
Annoyingly the blueprints table doesn't show which stages are completed and once you've unlocked stage three, stages one and two are still available... and I can't remember which stage twos/three I've done.

You can see it in the requirements on the blueprint. There is a green or red tick mark depending on wheather you have build the previous tier.
This is good to know.
However, it's clearly not very clear as everyone I have come across that has had Rooh's problem has missed this feature.

Perhaps something more noticeable is required.

I recognized checking the tiers of the buildings with the blueprint table is not very noticeable and convenience for most players, that's why I suggested checking the benefits of the buildings as a better and more handy solution on this thread. Please read Page 1, Post 9 if you are interested:

Quick find code: 15-16-293-66274572
Yet while effective, this is more of a pain than what Bertel said as it involves leaving the blueprint table.

It's still not enough.

The chance is we are more often in or near the other 3 buildings than the Workshop or the blueprint table. More often than not for the majority of playes, it will be easier for them just to look at the benefit of the buildings to determine their tier.

And if they don't know what the benefits of each tier are, what then?

Aren't the developer blog, livestreams and guide, if not the RS Wiki tell them the benefits already?
Likewise, if they don't know how the blueprint table and the new construction process work, what then?
