Thanks for finding out,that was very kind of you.
I don't get why Jagex has this official homepage for their game, but chose not to use it for such information.I am getting very close to the 20 year cape and I really think Jagex should
use the homepage as they did a long time ago and not other kinds of media for such info.
Maybe it is because I am an older person that I think so,but it is kind of strange not to use ones main homepage.

I agree, I don't use Reddit or Discord and I'm always behind the times nowadays unless some kind soul posts it here. I really don't know why Jagex don't post the news on here at the same time as they put things on other places.

There used to be loads of people on the forums, now you're lucky if there are even a couple of people. But that's Jagex's fault as they've stopped using them to put information about the game for players to see.

Over to Jagex, use the bloody forums as they were intended - to let players know about the game!

In the year 2023, majority of players use Twitter/Reddit/Discord for news.

You're limiting yourself by choosing not to use those platforms...if you want to stay in the loop you know where to go lol.

I think that telling someone they HAVE to use specific platforms to get news when there is a method that is owned and managed by Jagex is a bit like telling someone how to play Runescape. Just like there are few restrictions on how you play the game, there shouldn't be restrictions on how players get news. To only use outside platforms to post about updates, etc, is a bit ridiculous.

By the way, adding 'lol' to the end of a sentence doesn't make it any less offensive.

I'm Really Sorry you feel this way about my post, I was not being offensive at all. I understand you do not like going to other places to get the RuneScape news.

Jagex is a company at the end of the day, so them posting over social channels more rather than their website makes sense , as it encourages player growth, which is good for the overall game. Players who want to live in the old fashioned way, have to learn to adapt and change as the future is always bright and changing!
