I bit of present surprise, I have already completed Vorkath Shard Hunt causallyin a little more than a day. This leaves me with more than 12 days of great buffs to use, as well as, of course the first Necromancy overrides.

I focused on activities with chances of obtaining more than one type of shard. For instance, I did barehanded shark fishing with chances of a fishing, agility and strength at the same time.

I did my reaper assignments and got chances for combat and Boss shards at the same time.

How's everybody doing with the hunt? Please free feel to share you experience, progress and tips for this lovely RS3 community.

not really interested to be honest, doesnt help me catch 4k chompys neither does it boost my fish flingers points or give me a champions scroll, even if i complete the event im not really doing anything right now that will use any of the benefits, Going to keep working towards trimmed.

Another good thing about this Vorkath Shard Hunt is even for players who aren't really interested in getting the rewards, they can still get the rewards without paying much attention.

For instance, player working on fish flingers and champion scrolls should have no problems getting the gathering and combat shards. Premier Club adds 1 shard. Trimmed Comp requires Battle of Forinthry and gives the quest shard. We can buy one shard with gp or just 5k protean items. That's 5 out of 8 shards already.

Some people may also do other activities on the side even when going extensively for Trmmed Comp too. Some may level up RC for some reason too. And maintaining clan citadel upkeeps requires some skilling too and chances for other shards.

It is pretty cool.

BTW, even for players who don't care about the buffs or cosmetics, they can also sell the Necromancy weapon overrides because they come in tradeable token form.

As it turns out however, the Necromancy overrides from this event didn't end up becoming the first ones for the game. That honor instead goes to the Radiant Crusader Death Guard and Lantern from the 2023 Premier Membership package which came out a week prior.

Regardless, got it done the day it released. Must admit that the Vorkath overrides look much more cooler than the Radiant Crusader ones. Not to mention a lot more fitting for the First Necromancer's equipment than the latter.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Oh yes, I didn't notice something so nice waiting for me to claim. I just went to the Marketplace an claimed the nice Necromancy benefits with my existing Premier Club. Thanks you for the pointer. Now I am the mightiest Necromacer with my full Necromancer Overrides. :)

i got 6 shards ( atto got quest, vorkath, runescore, combat by doing the new quest, gathering by fishing in catherby with a full fury shark outfit and artisan by smashing out my 100ish port shakes). also tried for the support one by atto thieving elfs but didnt get it in the 3-4 full laps i did before i had to get off for work

today i got the support shard within a few seconds of thieving. dont think the 3 hr luck thing kicked in but it could of. also got a clue scroll one within a few hard scroll steps (my points was at 30). so i just need one more. may keep doing clue scrolls, being there easy and i got a butt ton in my bag (20+ in med hard and elite).

but its very nice to be able to smash out a event like this and then just go back to doing what i want to do
Logic, who needs it...

If like the last event, then the buffs start when you hand in the 8 shards not 14 days from when the event started. I am a bit busy with other content this week so will wait to hand them in.

We don't need to hand in the 8 shards and complete the event now. Everybody gets 14 days of buffs starting from the time when we choose to hand in the shards and complete the events.

We can go Black Friday shopping, dining out, and come back next week when Thanksgiving is over then hand in the shards so we have a full 14 days of benefits from the Vorkath Hunt buffs. :)
