Jagex Launcher "install" issue

I've donwloaded the jagex launcher on my new (refurbished) lenovo t480
I5 8gen uhd 620 apu.

I can play trough runelite; but trying to install the official client or rs3 one.
The jagex launcher encounters an issue while installation proceeds.

So atm I play on runelite but am locked out of rs3.

It's an lenovo from 2018.

Cheers. Thank you for OSRS, add a minnimap and a rest option. Then I will be fully happy with this game.

If you scroll down the download page at the bottom there is another link to install the client. During that process it will download a version of Direct X that is required for the game.

What if I don't want to use the Jagex Launcher?


Currently, the Launcher is optional if you do not have a Jagex account. Eventually, the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape standalone clients will no longer be supported. If you don't want to use the Launcher just yet, you can follow these links to install the standalone RuneScape or Old School clients.


There you are able to download both '
standalone clients
' and see if you are able to install those, or the one you are looking for, without making use of Jagex Launcher.
If said installation works and you are able to play RuneScape with it RS3/OSRS, you can start Jagex Launcher where Jagex Launcher will find those clients making you able to play through Jagex Launcher.

Be aware that it is best to sometimes '
Log Out of all your accounts
' for Jagex Launcher to update/upgrade as that could cause issues too, if you do not do that regular.
